We've been told by some of the park personnel in the past that the Pinnacles are steeper ergo going up Laguna and down Pinnacles is easier, and I've found this to be true. To each his own I guess. Pack some pain relievers just in case. Bring a hiking stick for the trip down the Pinnacles for there is loose rock on the trail.
